Contexted is the art of putting in to or taking things out of context.

It’s also my blog.

I’ll admit from the get go it’s one on a long list of blogs I’ve started and/or written for and there’s always the chance that Contexted, too, will end up on the wayside. But for some reason, the general concept of the blog fits me, so I have a feeling it’s here to stay. I’m never perfectly in context, at least I don’t feel so, but understanding and even laughing at things that are a bit off has become a way of life for me. I’ve being living in Europe since 2006 (far away from my native Seattle) and while I’ve come to love not fitting in, I also enjoy figuring out how things fit together.

Contexted will offer fresh entries on everything from food, friends, words, gender, books, work, shopping and travel – a list in no particular order. That said, I may also write about whatever else strikes my fancy, including moments from my daily life to what’s happening in the news. If nothing else, Contexted is not about being bound up, rather it’s a place to unwind and share.
